Frequently Asked Questions
NAPPY RASH: What is nappy rash and how can I prevent my baby getting it?
Nappy rash is quite common in babies. The symptoms are redness or soreness on and around your baby’s bottom and genitals. You can help prevent this by changing dirty nappies as soon as possible and by cleaning and drying your baby’s bottom carefully. You can also try leaving your baby to kick without a nappy for a short period (although this is more hazardous with baby boys as their pee can go everywhere) If a rash seems particularly bad or infected, do speak to your health visitor or public health nurse or GP.
