Some babies (around 1 in 8) are admitted to specialist neonatal units or children’s hospitals.
Going home
You’ll probably have mixed feelings about going home. It’s normal to be both excited and nervous.
Registering the birth

The law in Scotland means that you must register the birth of your baby before she is 21 days old.
